To install wall metal corner guards you need to determine the height of the corner you want to protect. The sizes to choose from are 2.44m / 8', 2.5m / 8.2' , 2.7m / 8.9' or 3m /10' length. If there is floor trim or crown molding, then measure between these, cut to size using a band saw (if accessible) or a hand grinder with a metal cutting disc. To adhere to the wall, use either silicone or double sided tape and apply down either side of the back of the guard. When installing on the wall, start with one corner – align on wall and slowly slide into place. If using silicone, apply on the wall and use painters tape strips to hold the guard to the wall for at least 24 hours before removing.
For 4 foot high guards where the top of the guard is easily visible, apply caulking along the edge to fill any gaps between the guard and the wall. You can use colour-matched caulking or clear, paintable silicone caulking which can be painted over to match the wall.
